Dear WDS Families,
This week was a short but busy week with picture re-takes and a practice fire drill. We have our next school council meeting on Thursday, November 21 at 7:00 PM at West Dalhousie School. All parents/guardians are welcome to attend.
Scholastics Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair will run during learning conferences on November 28 (3:00 PM -7:30 PM) and 29 (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) in the Learning Commons. We invite all families to drop by the Learning Commons and see the latest, greatest selection of books for all ages which are available for purchase. You will find a wide assortment of quality books for all reading levels. This event is not only a wonderful way to foster a love of reading, but it is also a fundraiser for our school. Proceeds will go towards adding new titles and resources to our school library.
Ms. May, our library assistant, is looking for a few amazing parent volunteers to help with this event – if you are available, please sign up.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
We have our Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 28 from 3:00 PM –7:30 PM and November 29 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Families will sign up for a 15-minute block of time to meet with their child’s teacher and learn more about their child’s learning progress. To book a conference time go to My CBE Power School Conference Booking System. This opens on Thursday, November 21 at 8:00 AM.
