There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. Terry Fox

West Dalhousie School will be participating in their annual Terry Fox Run this year on Monday, September 21st. WDS has once again come together in an effort to honor the dedication of Terry Fox and his legacy of cancer research contributions. This year’s campaign, called #Finish celebrates Terry’s determination and persistence. Students have researched the heroism of Terry and words that describe his journey to represent our grade teams during the run.  We are encouraging students to strive for the perseverance that Terry had and run for the cause.

Terry’s goal when he started his Marathon of Hope was for every Canadian to donate $1 for cancer research.  Inspired by Terry’s goal, WDS has set a goal for our Terry Fox Run this year to raise “A Toonie for Terry” for every staff and student to donate to  The Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.

This year, WDS has organized an online donation page for your contributions to the Terry Fox Foundation for Cancer Research. Each grade team has set a goal of $100 in hopes of raising a total of $700 as a community.

If you wish to donate, please follow the link to the Terry Fox Foundation Donations page and look for your child's grade team name to make a contribution.  https://schools.terryfox.ca/136998

(Under Donate, select ‘Classroom’ and click on the corresponding grade team name!)
