Dear WDS Families, we had another busy week at WDS with our last practice fire drill of the year on Tuesday and lots of celebrating. 

Kindergarten Learning Celebration

We would like to thank Ms. Pearson, Ms. Miller, and the team of teachers behind the scenes for organizing the kindergarten celebration of learning on Thursday. Thank you to the families in attendance. Our kindergarten friends displayed beautiful art, sang inspirational songs, and touched our hearts.  

Volunteer Tea

Our annual volunteer tea took place on Friday morning.  Another big thank you to the committee of teachers who organized the volunteer tea for our WDS families. Another huge thank you to all our parent volunteers for supporting our students and the school. Your support with school council, fundraising, field trips, sports day and classroom support is much appreciated. We salute you. We hope you enjoyed the entertainment and treats.  

Patrol Picnic

Thank you to our school patrols for their fine work keeping us safe in our school zone. On June 6, they attended the AMA sponsored patrol picnic. Please help out our patrols by driving safely in our school zone. 

Nature’s Place

The front of our school is coming alive with new flowers and some fancy sidewalk art. This outdoor classroom is utilized every day.  

Staff Appreciation

Thank you to the school council for recognizing our talented and dedicated staff. Lunch was provided and enjoyed by all. Your kindness and generosity is appreciated.  

CBE Education Plan

The CBE just released an updated Education Plan. It is the compass that guides our work.
