This week, we had the joy of experiencing our amazing Spring Concert, Our Musical World. Thank you to all the staff and students who helped create such a memorable and inspiring musical evening. 

A very special thank you goes to Ms. Dickson for her incredible dedication and effort in bringing the concert to life. It was truly heartwarming to see our students perform with such passion and talent. 

We are also deeply grateful to all the WDS families who attended and supported this celebration of diversity, community, and musical talent. 

Hats on for Mental Health, May 7 

Let’s put mental health in the spotlight—one hat at a time! Wear your favorite hat to show support and promote good mental health for all. 

H.D. Cartwright Open House – Grade 6 students 

Future HD Cartwright Cougars are invited to the Open House on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. The open house will run from 6:00 – 7:30 PM and give you a chance to learn more about HDC, tour the school and visit the learning spaces. 

School Council 

Our next school council meeting will be held on Thursday May 8 at 7:00 pm on Microsoft Teams. All families are welcome to join us for that meeting. We are also looking for new members to join our council, please attend the meeting to learn more. 

Alien In-Line Skating Residency – Volunteers Needed 

We are excited to have Alien In-line back to WDS from May 23-June 5. Volunteers are needed to assist with setting up equipment, tying laces, and supporting students during the Alien In-line skating sessions. If you have your police clearance and can volunteer, please sign up below:
