Dear WDS Families

We hope all the amazing dads, grandfathers, and father figures in our school community have a wonderful Father's Day.

This week, Mad Science presented to Grade 3 students about dinosaurs and to Grade 4 students about planets and moons. We had our last school council meeting of the year on Thursday evening. Thank you to all our School Council members for their amazing support during this school year.

The Grade 6 students had a special guest this week. MLA Julie Hayter spoke to the students about her role and responsibilities in relation to the social studies curriculum. Grade 6s wrote their Math PAT Part A. Next week, they will write ELAL Part B, Math Part B, and Social Studies

Learning Commons News

We are thrilled to share some exciting news from our Library Assistant, Ms. May. Our students have read an additional 736 books, bringing our total for the year to an incredible 4,236 books. This accomplishment is a testament to the students’ dedication, curiosity, and love for reading.

Individualized Program Plans (IPPs)

If your child is on an IPP, please check your child's backpack. It would be appreciated if IPPs could be signed and returned to the school by June 18.

Air Quality

WDS monitors the air quality Index daily. When it reaches a 7 or higher, we postpone outdoor activities such as patrols and moving recess indoors.
