Dear WDS Families, this week our Grade 1/2 students had a Mad Science Presentation. They learned the difference between robots and humans, power sources used by robotics and then programmed a robot to move through a maze.
School Council
We have our next School Council meeting at WDS on Thursday, April 10 at 7:00 pm. We invite all parents/guardians to attend.
Celebration of Learning
The Grade 3/4 students will be showcasing their learning on April 24, more details will be sent to families from their child’s teacher.
Personal Belongings
Students are not permitted to play with toys during class time. Personal belongings such as toys, stuffies, Pokémon cards, and sporting equipment should be kept at home. Sports equipment includes items such as hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks, footballs, soccer balls, and so on. Students have access to WDS sporting equipment at recess. Personal belongings frequently get lost or broken and become a distraction to learning. The school cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items.
Traffic Safety
Please do not stop in the no stopping zones, they are reserved for our 5 school buses. We encourage all parents and students to use crosswalks when being dropped off. A reminder that U-Turns are not permitted anywhere on streets next to a school, school grounds, intersections, or anywhere near school crosswalks.
